There is nothing better than being part of a team that is working together to get a pig to safety. This critical position is pure fun and adventure (and sometimes weird stares into your car). We always try to limit driving distance to 90 miles one way and overnight visits to less than 10 hours. You also get to choose how often you transport. The transport mission is posted on our Facebook page and you sign on if you want to do it! This volunteer position gives back to you in a big way--the memories, pictures and stories are things money just can't buy. Try it once and you'll be hooked!
Like talking to people and going to festivals? We need tables at as many public events as possible to get the word out. Goals are to recruit transports and to educate the public on the reality of mini pigs. Additionally, many of the worst breeders sell their pigs at flea markets. We need people watching them and catching potential buyers and educating them before they make an uninformed purchase. This is a position where you decide where to go and how often you want to be out in the field.
